Our girls received three 1st place trophies (Pom, Kick, and Hip Hop), and one 2nd place (Jazz) at our first competition of the season, on January 21st.

We are looking forward to the Sweetheart Invitational at Gar-Field HS on Sat. February 11th.

Excellent job at our first month of dance team performances. You did great, and received so many compliments.

All girls have turned in their medical release forms for the Jan. & Feb. competitions. Thank you!

***A HUGE thank you to ALL of our girls, moms, dad, and CR for their help with concessions during the SCA dance. Our final concession of the year was our be$t, by far. Our profits will go toward the GVMS embroidery on the jazz tops, and our other new tops, etc. ~Also, the impromptu performance was a hit!

Gar-Field HS Sweetheart Competition: Sat. Feb. 11th, times TBA (to be announced)

***Prince William County Middle School Cheer & Dance competition: no longer March 17th as it has been changed to April 14th,  by WSHS due to scheduling conflicts. However, this has created a new set of difficulties as some school teams and studios are planning to go to the King's Dominion Dance Festival that same weekend (including Coach Hill's daughter), while some others (including Mrs. Bateman's daughter) have a studio competition in Norfolk ,VA. Since this may effect some of our own dancers, and sets the season back an entire month, we will discuss this with the team, and appreciate any input from our dancer parents as well, in order to make a decision reference what we would collectively like to do.

We had forty-five incredibly talented young ladies come out for dance team. The judges saw great potential in each of you.

**Practice will take place on Mondays & Wednesdays, beginning Monday, October 3rd at 3:00pm.

Uniform turn-in will take place March 21st, 2012, with an end of season celebration to follow shortly thereafter. Dancers, parents, and coaches will plan this event together.
